The app allows for easy entry of odometer readings at your convenience—there's no required frequency. Typically, entries are made when refueling, but flexibility is maintained. The main dashboard provides a clear visual overview of your current progress relative to your target, including indicators that highlight your performance since the last recorded reading.

In addition, Drive Target supplies daily and weekly mileage rates based on your current data, assisting you in planning your trips to stay on track with your goals. A notable feature is the app’s calculation of the ideal odometer reading for any given day to ensure you meet your overall target, based on the most recent entry.

An optional Today Extension widget offers quick access to this information, displaying the expected odometer reading for the day with a simple swipe down from your notification center.

This application was developed out of personal necessity, replacing my previous reliance on spreadsheets for tracking. Its design aims to provide quick, visual insights, enabling informed decisions throughout the year to meet the vehicle’s kilometre targets efficiently.

In many ways, Drive Target functions as a fitness tracker for your vehicle’s mileage, delivering concise data that supports achieving your annual goals. While primarily practical, it may well become an essential tool in managing your vehicle lease obligations.
